This movie was about as sexist, condescending, and straight-up skeazy as a movie can be and be cast with A-listers. What I learned from this movie:1) CIA agents can spend lots of money, time, and resources on personally violating the rights of those they claim to love.2) Women will be totally cool with all those violations if you're hot.3) Women will always go for the "bad boy" because he changes just for her.4) If you're boning a stewardess on the side, plus have an upskirt swimming pool for your regular conquests, it's totally ok to poach your lonely, divorced friend's romantic interest because you saw her, too. 5) Putting womens' lives in imminent danger because you're an inveterate liar is totally cool if one of them had sex with you.

There is no reason anyone will not like "This means war". It is all good fun, ridiculous, with likeable leads and supporting cast. There is some police gun shots but compare to what's in the theatres, it is kindergarten stuff. Basically you can name this movie as "101 ways to woo a girl." Tom Hardy can actually smile? That is a revelation especially for fans who only knows him in Mad Max or Batman. He is very funny in an unassuming way. Are Chris Pine's electric blue eyes for real? Or is it some kind of special effects? Reese Witherspoon returns to what she does best (although she is a little too old for the part). Go and enjoy it.

This movie is well..bad. The editing is clumsy and acting is so-so. The film is has great setup for a story, but they don't go all out. I love Chris Pine and Reece Witherspoon, but they could have used their talents for a more worthy movie. There are rarely any funny moments. I only remember laughing two or three times. The romance is also really weak and it's not that engaging. The characters are pretty boring and don't have any level of depth. On the bright side, the action scenes are fun sometimes and the cinematography is alright. Overall, This Means War is a bland and forgettable film.
