Excellent biopic that has strong comparisons to Scorsese's earlier "Goodfellas". The only issue here is that in spite of the filmmakers' stated goal of repudiating the toxic bro culture of the protagonists, it feels more like a celebration of it. It really does not feel judgemental at all. Unlike the earlier film, where the main character ends up in their own personal hell (living in anonymity in suburbia), the main character here shows no remorse, no real change from his douchie ways. Hell, the real Jordan Belfort even gets a cameo in the movie base on his own book. Still, it is entertaining and well worth a look. It just feels a bit slimy and skeevy, like the main character himself.

Apart from the frequent continuity errors, The Wolf Of Wall Street is a three-hour killer paced and adrenaline fueld film. The heavy swears, regular utilizing of drugs, and Leonardo's air-punching speeches will leave you addicted to the rush that Scorsese delivers in this Money laundering flick. For a lot of films, constant swearing can soon blend into pure annoyance and attempts to drive a scene, but with Scorsese's master direction, it naturally fits with the characters.

While stylistically in the vein of his "Goodfellas," but swapping mob guys for stock brokers, the pace and insanity of "The Wolf of Wall Street" is infectious and captivating. At a very long 3 hours, the story is very thorough and furiously entertaining to the very end. Dark comedies of this scale are rare. The performances of Leo, Jonah Hill and the large supporting cast were choreographed like a musical, which is a testament to the brilliance of Scorsese. It's almost unfair to see this within close proximity to a good film like "American Hustle" since "Wolf" makes "Hustle" look like a student film.
