Ambitious and it tried to be that movie with a spark for life, but it just seemed lacking. I liked it, heck I even didn't mind Ben Stiller, and I enjoyed watching the little adventure he went on. Unfortunately it felt like such a small story that didn't really go anywhere. I wish this was bigger and more awesome and inspiring. It meant well, and was charming.

I've watched this film 4 times already. Perhaps it's because I can relate to Walter Mitty so very well, but I thought this film was a fantastic one. From the characters to the beautiful cinematography and great compositions, I found inspiration everywhere throughout The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. This is a feel good film to inspire and motivate us to get out and take a risk to do something, well, noteworthy or mention-able!

I enjoyed this film and rewatched this on blu ray. The message of the film is quite basic but the real journey is where the lead character heads to next. The film was better off not hitting the usual cliche story beats like the idiot executive or the love interest, I thought having her back with the husband was a nice twist and having her as the push for Mitty was more than enough for her character arc. The film is a great story and offers a lot of fun for the audience, just a shame they didn't stick with more odd character moments. Ben Stiller should focus on more character comedy instead of the slapstick style, he has that natural everyday guy that you can relate with. This could have been a classic if it didn't go the easy way with the storyline, more ambition was required.
