After two years in prison by a affair with drugs, Jack Mayfield come backs to his tome together his brother Mike, his wife Alma and his little son Raymond. Looking for a second chance, Jack accepts a work offered by Mike, preacher of the town, as night watchman in the old abandoned mine of the town to prevent that the thieves steal industrial materials that still are there to shell them in the black market. Meanwhile Alma realizes about the secret desires of his brother-in-law to her, Jack struggles to leave behind his past of alcohol and drugs as well as his violent remembers of childhood due to the abuses of his father, at the same time that he starts to believe that somebody or something inhabits the old mine, a weird presence that wanders by the night watching him in the shadows waiting for attack...

Interesting movie. I think we can all agree that maybe she wasnt the best choice for VP, but is that her fault? What I think happened is that someone who wasn't ready for the position was pushed into the light and sadly it broke her. It has now turned her into a completely different person. Also what shocked about this version of the story is that it seemed John McCain couldn't be bothered with her. He should have been the one to set straight what she needed to do. It also seems that it really didnt matter who the running mate was because no one could touch Obama the celebrity. So glad that he will be out of office this time next year and hopefully America makes a better choice this time.

Sarah Palin, as once mentioned in the film about criticism and deadly reputation thereafter, has come under attack recently on the family dog being mistreated by son, seeing standing on dog to reach the sink. John McCain is has and was the center of the film for its few minutes along with the relationship that deepened because of it, Sarah becomes the gold. Film mainly catergorized by its backdrop from real time events, and characters that made due, the speeches and successes of these investigations and relationships are chronicled behind the scenes. Elaborated by the main man, the right buttons, talks, encouragement, emphasis, toward the campaign on what to know and what to understand, the exposure and faults taken from clever misunderstandings and faults of the media exposing all quite the same are broadcasted.

Since her historic VP bid in 2008 i have been fascinated with Sarah Palin. I have read biographies, watched SNL clips, Katie Couric interviews, the works. Never before have I seen Sarah Palin portrayed in an even slightly sympathetic light. Don't get me wrong, this is not a Republican funded propaganda film but instead what I would imagine to be a fairly accurate portrayal of what happened on that fateful campaign. Julianne Moore portrays Palin brilliantly, well deserving of her Emmy and Golden Globe wins. This is a tale pf a woman, once with a promising political career who simply got in way over her head and destroyed her own aspirations in doing so.
