If you are a fan of this anime (time has passed wow! Now is on 3D instead of 2D...looks great but some jokes work better on anime style, my opinion)...like I was saying, if you are a fan of this anime, this movie will go to your faves (yeah, it may remind you in 3D style to Astro Boy, Tin Tin, AppleSeed & Final Fantasy...obvious FF7 is better than all those before mentioned at least to me, I may pass AppleSeed coz also is brilliant with a Beauty & The Beast touch from the Grimm's). So yes, 4 stars for the wonderful+epic music score, voice acting, costume design and yes, it brings childhood memories. Enjoy. - January 5, 2015 review.

TL;DR: The masks at Cancer's temple are full color, look happy and they actually sing a song... seriously. If you still want to see this movie after knowing that, you're on your own.
This movie is to Saint Seiya what Dragon Ball Evolution is to Dragon Ball Z. None to Zero character development, the whole movie feels like the story itself is 90 minutes long, the fights were too Michael Bayish; you have no idea what is fgoing on, the bronze saints don't win, literally, any of the 12 houses battles, and they skip like half of them.
It's not a good Saint Seiya, Sanctuary Saga adaptation, it's not a good anime movie, it's not a passable movie at all. It all looks like the cinematic of a bad Saint Seiya game. Please don't watch this, and let's all pray to Athena to get a good remake of the Sanctuary Saga.

Undeniably the most visually amazing CGI anime film, ever. And the most expense. Although the story is kind of so-so and more like a recap of a video game, the spectacular animation makes up for it and-- not a word of lie-- left me speechless at least half a dozen times. To Toei's credit, wow, you can see where the money went... well worth watching just for the spectacle.
