For someone who has been watching scary movies since a child, always looking for something that would truly scare me; this move comes very close. I love the storyline of visiting haunted houses and the potentially psychotic people who yearn for the opportunity to inflict the pain they hold on others. There are a few scenes in this movie that will linger with you for a long time. It for the timid but for a true horror fan who truly enjoys these moments in movies; I highly recommend this film as one of the best underrated gems in my collection.

Okay, so I was pretty predisposed to liking this one, but its downfall for me was the format in which it is presented. The found footage aspect is creepy when you are seeing the unsettling things these people are looking at as they travel from place to place seeking out these haunted house attractions. When it's annoying as hell is when they spend any downtime rambling to one another and generally making you wish that they would die sooner, because you're tired of their fucking voices.I would honestly say that it's got some creepy moments, but they're ruined by the yammering of the leads, all of whom are immensely annoying.

This was almost a good movie. The most original Found Footage idea I've seen apart from Paranormal Activity but it just never quite gets there. The acting is good and the cast works so well together, I wouldn't be surprised if they are actually good friends in real life. Nothing feels like a performance until the 3rd act when the "scares" are supposed to be real and not just Fun housey... The movie seems to end abruptly without any real definitive ending. No Who What When Where or why, and it leaves you wholly unsatisfied for a film that could have been much more. They seem to be focused on the female in this film as if to set her up as a lead, however her skills are lackluster and in the closing seen you can't tell if she's terrified or just constipated. Good try.
