Great story telling and plot set up. The graphics where outdone and beautiful! I Love the character development done for jack and the rest. The story telling and giving attention and detail to jack point of view and his isolation for 300 years which is explained at the start of the movie would effect him and hurt him emotionally.As seen later in the story, 300 years later and all of sudden now he getting attention and can see he's upset and hurt by the other guardians because there only talking to him now because of the man in moon choosing him. But as we see as the story further progress jack finally accepts and moves on, as he learns the reason why he was chosen.I recommend this movie, It's really great and gives attention to the characters story and the plot, and it did not feel unfinished.

This film, based on a Father's bedtime stories told to his Daughter, is unspoilt, touching and true to the way children imagine. I am so glad that it didn't get pimped up in an attempt to be more 'entertaining' to the masses.The story is well told and the animation is excellent with a little nod it seems to the Harry Potter genre.Full of imagination it is ideal family viewing. The PG rating seems rather overkill as Grimm's Fairy Tales are much more graphic and dark In comparison. But then that could be a good excuse for you to watch as well and release your inner child !

It is really the screenshots, the video segments, and the trailer that brought me to see this film. I would say the tomatometer of 80s should be deserved. I know there is nothing special about the story but I don't find it affecting my experience. One thing everyone has to admire is this film has the second best animation ever offered by DreamWorks that is topped now by How To Train Your Dragon 2. Oh man it is a gorgeous thing to see this film on a vibrant AMOLED display or in 3D. In my experience this animation covers up the shorts of storytelling completely. I have NEVER seen another film other than Dragon 2 that offers better animation and vibrant colours than this
