An animated short that follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute. Convinced the girl of his dreams is gone forever, he gets a second chance when he spots her in a skyscraper window across the avenue from his office. With only his heart, imagination and a stack of papers to get her attention, his efforts are no match for what the fates have in store for him.

The short won both an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 85th Academy Awards,[3] and the Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject at the 40th Annie Awards.[4] Paperman was the first animated short film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios to win an Academy Award since It's Tough to Be a Bird in 1970

It was a very creative, very touching and funny Disney animated short. It had very well done animation, great humor, great characters, really great music, really great visuals, great romance and a great storyline. It's one of the best Disney animated shorts ever made. I've seen this short movie in theaters and at home before "Wreck-It Ralph." I highly recommend this short movie to Disney fans of all ages.

It's much more difficult when rating short films because their lesser runtime almost gives them an unfair advantage over their bloated counterparts. Nevertheless, when a true master work is recognized, it must be applauded. "Paperman" is not only a revolution of animation and storytelling, but of filmmaking at large. Watch it for yourself to see just how good it really is.
