some really good fight scenes and moments. awesome stunt-work that all looked so real. i don't think they used any CGI. this movie was also really dumb and FOB-y, similar to how bollywood actions movies feel but to a lesser extent. lots of parts that made me laugh that weren't meant to be funny. all of the non-martial arts action was awful. and while a lot of the fight scenes had great moments, they were more individual moments than fluid continuous back-and-forth fighting like in Ip Man. but one thing this movie shows us for certain, Tony Jaa is a straight BEAST!!!! i watched only the fight scenes from parts 2 and 3, and omg it gets even better. he is such a monster and i hope he gets bigger roles in hollywood movies.

A hugely enjoyable all-action thrill ride that really does resemble Jet Li, Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan movies. Tony Jaa may have very little to do in terms of actual acting, but without doubt this guy can fight. I have never seen so many people getting elbowed or kneed full force in the head or face. While every single fight is bone-crunchingly real looking, and I can only imagine how many performers got bruised and injured. The plot is 1980's video-game style simple, and if the Street fighter movie was even a little like this then it would have been a huge improvement. In all honesty I can't find any real substantial issue here, it's funny, deeply enjoyable, well-shot, exciting, and even through it's as deep as spilt milk, I'd still recommend this to anyone wanting a sharp jolt of fighting fun.

Ong-Bak is awesome. One of the most gripping over the top martial arts flick that has come out in years. You don't need great actors and a complicated plot to have a great film. Though Pinkaew does a great job to make the story as simple as possible added with those over the top martial arts Tony Jaa style. It has some corny moments but the more corny and cheesy it was, the more you will enjoy it.
