Kelly and Mac are settling down in a quiet neighborhood with their newborn child, until the frat brothers move into the house next door. Teddy is the President, and Pete is his right hand man, and they’re quick to accept friendship when Kelly and Mac introduce themselves as the neighbors. Night after night, Mac asks Teddy to lower the fraternity’s noise, even accepting the invitation to the party one evening. When Teddy goes back on his word to keep the partying down, Mac calls the police to deal with the problem. The police quickly blame Mac for their presence, and the war begins. As the family feuds with the frat brothers, things get hilariously dangerous and the fraternity ends up on thin ice with their college. After receiving their final warning and being placed on probation, Mac and Kelly pull a prank so ingenious that Teddy and Pete are forced to respond. There are moments in this movie that feel incredibly unrealistic like how the police act, the air bag moments and some other physics, though I really like this movie overall. It's clever, funny, and im glad it is not raunchy in a "raunchy just for the sake of being raunchy" way. It also does a good job mixing in heart and good comedic chemistry between the characters. I really enjoyed this film and I recommend it if your interested.

Neighbors has too much profanity at times, it takes its time to get there and the scenes involving just the fraternity members weren't as memorable, but the film is so well crafted and so great in its script that it left time for some excellent themes and not just the jokes. But the humor is so good and the film is consistently funny while also having memorable and very likable characters.

I am not sure if it was another boring performance by a waning Rogen, the laughably forced accent by Byrne(which despite her Australian heritage did not sound realistic in the slightest) or the predictable fair of drugs and raunchiness but Neighbors just didn't do it for me. Although it is by far the funniest comedy of the last 5-7 years of Rogen's career, that isn't saying much. The movie meandered into boredom too often and about halfway through it appeared to me like the movie had officially played all its cards. Overall Neighbors isn't overly bad, its just not overly funny either. Best left to late night pirating.
