Larry the Cable Guy attempts to bring yuletide cheer in the formulaic and trite family comedy Jingle All the Way 2. The film follows a dad and stepdad as they compete to get their daughter her most wanted Christmas gift; with one buying out the stores so that the other won't be able to get it. The acting is all pretty terrible, and Larry's comedy stylings are extremely lame. Also, there's really no sense of fun to any of the crazy antics or charades that the two fathers go through. Incredibly bland, Jingle All the Way 2 has nothing really going for it.
So let me get this straight. You're making an unnecessary sequel to the much beloved 1996 holiday classic and it's directed by the same name who brought us the god awful Chairman of the Board with Carrot Top and now you want to star in WWE's house of crap moves starring that redneck bastard Larry The Cable Guy and a Cobra-wannabe actor named Santino Marilla? The answer is simple. Nobody cares. Don't even bother getting this cesspool of a sequel because there is absolutely nothing new with this mess. bad jokes, bad humor, just terrible. Do me a favor and watch the original Schwarzenegger classic instead.
No stars. In fact, I haven't even watched this movie and I probably never will. The first film is one of the dumbest films ever made. I doubt that an "in name only" DTV sequel will have any sort of artistic merit or worthwhile moments or anything at all except a gaping black hole where a movie should be. I just want to use this space to ask a question that's been on my mind for some time now: why is Larry the Cable Guy replacing Schwarzenegger and The Rock in sequels? First "The Tooth Fairy 2" and now this. That's like exchanging Bruce Lee for Carrot Top. Can someone out there please explain to me WHY this keeps happening? Why film executives are considering this a "good" or "acceptable" thing? It seems to be the beginning of a trend, a very bad trend that will cast a long shadow over our once peaceful land like a plague of darkness. Won't somebody make it stop? Please? Anyone? Hello?
