"Highway" is a movie that is well shot and well acted. The movie features one of Alia Bhatt's earlier performances but I would say it is among her best even today. However, as a whole, it just ends up being an average movie. This movie can really be a drag at times and it starts to feel like nothing is happening at a point. Yes, it looks very nice and is aesthetically pleasing, but it wasn't enough to keep my interest in some of the slower segments. The movie builds up to an effective final act that is the strongest part of it. This last bit shows great acting and ultimately makes the movie worth checking out. However, getting to this final segment can be a major drag.

After Imtiaz Ali's debut film Socha Na Tha, Highway is the only film which I somewhere or at some level might have liked. I always find his films at one side of realism and other side of bollywood melodrama. So, never liked his films anyway. Indian audience over hype films when even if they are just little 'good' as the other mainstream films we get are horrible. Highway was just about that little good for me. And give some credit to Hooda as well, everyone just talked about the Bhatt daughter.

founded it a tad boring initially but slowly slowly the movie kept on getting the momentum behind it and ended up being quite a lively n lovely movie...saw bhati(randeep) smile for the 1st time at 1hr 31 min into the movie...so hez playing a dark kinda rude n emotionless character whuz into robberies n kidnapping and kidnaps the daughter of a very rich guy who seems to be fedup with the boundries n limitations that she used to live in n fells in love with the freedom n care she gets while being kidnapped..sounds wierd but innocent would be a better word for her character..in all a out of the box,good innocent love story and imtiaz,randeep and alia all rocked it
