The siblings Hansel and Gretel are left alone in the woods by their father and captured by a dark witch in a candy house. However they kill the witch and escape from the spot. Years later, the orphans have become famous witch hunters. When eleven children go missing in a small village, the Mayor summons Hansel and Gretel to rescue them, and they save the red haired Mina from the local sheriff who wants to burn her, accusing Mina of witchcraft. Soon they discover that the Blood Moon will approach in three days and the powerful dark witch Muriel is responsible for the abduction of children. She intends to use the children together with a secret ingredient in a Sabbath to make the coven of witches protected against the fire. Meanwhile Hansel and Gretel disclose secrets about their parents.

I was waiting in anticipation for this movie for about 3 years and a half year s and watching it worth all the hype in the world, it disappointed me very much. I really disliked this movie, I was bored, I thought it would have more action and more of a story. Jermey Renner and the other girl were trying their best and they were ok, not exceptional of course, but just ok, I wanted more from this movie.

This was better than I expected, but....really felt like it was lacking something but I don't know what. I liked the extra gore that the 15 certificate allowed but the swearing and the random nude scene felt really out of place. I enjoyed the effects (the witches looked amazing) but all in all it felt a bit meh, Not bad for some mindless entertainment though.

What? This movie was Badass. Jeremy Renner as Hansel with a Rifle and Gemma Aerton as Gretel with a Bow N Arrow! I don't get why the Ratings are bad. 15%, Is That All? I rate it higher if i was the tomato meter. I disagree with reviews on this movie because it's nice seeing Renner again and Aerton. I say this is a good movie, A lot of fighting, perfect set-up, people say this ruined the fairy tale, it did! But I think this wasn't bad. not bad bad, It isn't a great movie but could have done a little better.
