I don't know what the " movie critics" are talking about . You don't need to be a movie critic to see the truth behind racism and other types of discrimination. They did an amazing job with this film.I will definitely be recommending this movie to my friends and family. I love movies like this that shed light on real life issues and person experiences. May god bless Debbie and her entire family ????. Bravo ?? I!! And may the rest of us take note and continue her work. The message delivered in this film was a powerful one. May we all try to be a fracturing of what Debbie was and this world would be a better place !!

Very heartwarming film! The movie does a good job inspiring folks to be more compassionate to the homeless, and helping you understand the rejection the homeless feel from society. I can't understand why the critics gave it such a low rating. Maybe it had to do with the scenes depicting the blacks working in cotton fields, or the reality of the KKK that they faced years ago, but I found that to be more informative rather than offensive. Great true story of how a wealthy white family befriended a homeless black man and how he impacted their lives. Worth your time!

To those who have not read the book, I suppose this would seem like a great movie. However, adding stuff to the movie not in the book and changing how the events really occurred proved to be very disappointing. This was a perfect opportunity to use a movie to show how God uses the least of us to do His work and to give others messages He wants them to hear. The book was full of it - God used Denver mightily - but, sadly, that was not shown in the movie. While the notion of compassion was portrayed to the movie-goer, the movie seemed piecemeal without a truly good flow to it. This movie is nowhere near the caliber of other movies by Pure Flix. Can't recommend.

This was one of the most inspiring movies I have seen in a long time. I would encourage entire families to see it as it makes you think about the purpose of your own life. It is based on a true story and is extremely well done! I would HIGHLY recommend seeing it!
