Gigi & Nate (2022)

No, this is not the sequel to the Academy-Award winning film from the fifties, GiGi. The Gigi in this film is much smaller and much more homelier. An unfortunate young man becomes a quadriplegic, and is naturally depressed. Along comes Gigi, and his psyche begins to heal. This film has a bit in common with My Left Foot, whose leading actor, Daniel Day Lewis, won the Academy Award. The level of acting is not bad, but not in Lewis’ class. This is pretty much a straight-forward film, and I am thankful it was not a cartoon, superhero, or disney film. Catch it a theater near you; and it is a decent family film to boot.
