So the good. Decent props and the acting wasn't bad. However, the rest of it was not well done. The tracer effects were just bad. The writing was melodramatic, the scenes were absurd. The sort of ridiculous gore took away from the movie. It was a bit like watching tropic thunder without the benefit of humor from the standpoint of over the top gore. You would think with Band of Brothers and Pacific that any film now would know the bar was raised. I'm not sure what the point of this movie was at all except maybe to cash in on the aforementioned series or perhaps Inglorious Bastards. I was looking forward to this movie but it was simply just bad. Save your time for something else.

A solid WWII film that dive us into the minds of soldiers who operate a tank. "Fury" is intense, brutal, and, at times, sentimental, but lacks any character development, other than Logan Lerman's role. Don't get wrong, I understand that war is hell, but can we see a different side of it? Almost none of these characters showed any sign of mercy whatsoever. They just want to be assholes until the very end. Then again, how will you react when you have an entire country trying to kill you? Nevertheless, this is one of David Ayer's greatest works. The cinematography was well shot and gritty, plus the music fit well it comes to certain action sequences. Definitely a must keep if you enjoy the realism of war.

The action scenes are intense and gritty, while most of the time staying at least somewhat grounded in reality. But, other than unabashedly depicting the horrors of war (and the depravity it leads to on both sides), it lacks any larger arch or take away. Perhaps more like Generation Kill or Platoon than Saving Private Ryan, the lack of moralizing may appeal to some, but the apparent nihilism (if not apathy) in its outlook on history may turn off anyone looking for something deeper. Ultimately, all you're left with is depressing scenes, sad moments, and a seeming endorsement of cynicism and the surrender of ideals in favor of acceptance and commradery from ones compatriots.
