Fureur (2003)

It’s not, it’s a romantic drama and a good one at that. The setting against low class France and its different immigrant groups is excellent but the story is classic of course. I would very much have enjoyed some more depth towards the story of the two siblings, more of a social look at their destiny in their new homeland perhaps, the elements are there and that would have put the film in the top. Now i give it a 7 but it’s still very close to a 8 or maybe even 9. I recommend it to the cineast thus meaning people who know how to appreciate both a “foreign” film and a good fighting flick, if you’re out for some good knuckle action you should seek elsewhere.
