This film was as good as its predecessor, maybe even better. This film takes the formula and pacing from the first film and perfects it. It has more gore than the first and more deaths. The deaths are better spread out and the pacing is a little better. The Evan Ladder death or The Barb wire death are my favorite in the film. Totally a watch if you enjoyed the first film or enjoy horror films in general.

well, it doesn't really do any better or worse than its predecessor: the plot is still goofy, the setups amusingly grim but expected, and acting still average. still, it's leaps and bounds above many of the older generation of B-rate cheesy horror flicks (Prom Night, Graduation Day, Carrie, etc). if you don't get into it expecting much, you might just get something out of it.

Sequel to the okay first film features a spectacular opening sequence involving a multiple vehicle highway crash, but nothing in the rest of the film lives up to that opening. As with the first film, a teen has a premonition of death and their group of friends "cheat" death. They are then stalked by death in elaborate sequences leading to their inevitable demise. While the deaths in this film are satisfyingly unique and interesting, they lack the suspenseful and build up that "X-Files" veterans Glen Morgan and James Wong brought to the first film. What happens instead is that most of the deaths play out with it looking like a character has gotten away, but then suddenly get killed, which isn't all that clever after it's been done the first time. But overall, this film is still worth checking out for horror fans, though I'm not sure it'll satisfy casual horror fans. Oh, and it was fun to see Justina Machado, who's now famous as the mother on the Netflix remake of "One Day at a Time."
