It was a Thursday and my wife and I were wondering what to do. The only film at the cinema we hadn't seen was Drive- purposefully because the trailer made it look like a Need for Speed type trashy film. We went anyway, but mostly for chocolate ice cream.By the time the pink Baywatch font opening credits rolled I realised we were incredibly mistaken. I turned to my wife, with literal tears of joy in my eyes and said "wow".I won't ruin the story, but I will say that Drive spoke to me like a love story. A love story for men, perhaps. Give it everything you've got.

8.0/10Ryan Gosling is too good for this movie, rushed story development and ending, the first half was very good with it´s Synthwavey´ soundtrack backseat car shots, good story and characters, good soundtrack, a good love relationship, and very good first 30 minutes, after that, the movie had some issues with shooting mistakes in a lot of scenes, like the hammer scene, cheesy acting from the rest of the cast, with the exception of a few characters like shannon, irene and Driver. Although, the movie has a lot of deep meanings and a strong message of a man who doesn´t know himself very well and struggles to decide who he wants to be, why can´t the shark be a good guy?
