It has been several years since young Sawyer Nelson and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Hospital, headed by Dr. Clay Haskett, rescued Winter. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy, who developed a unique prosthetic tail for the injured dolphin, they were able to save her life. Yet their fight is not over. Winter's surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama, has passed away, leaving Winter without the only poolmate she has ever known. However, the loss of Panama may have even greater repercussions for Winter, who, according to USDA regulations, cannot be housed alone, as dolphins' social behavior requires them to be paired with other dolphins. Time is running out to find a companion for her before the team at Clearwater loses their beloved Winter to another aquarium.

I thought this movies "Dolphin Tale 2" movie was very cute and creative and smart. "Dolphin Tale 2" is both uneventful and predictable, but it deserves credit for treating its nonhuman characters with respect. This is exceedingly mild entertainment. The original "Dolphin Tale" was so anodyne it felt like a 1950s TV series: episodic problems resolved in an ultrasafe atmosphere, often by parental, generally fatherly, advice. This is more of the same. "Dolphin Tale 2" cares about the right things: the details of marine rescue, the dedication of the individuals involved, and the lives and personalities of the animals under their care. A lovely family-friendly tale that amazingly carries on the story without losing any of its predecessor's charms. A sun-drenched pleasure for the whole family, heartwarming, funny, and beautifully performed by all, including Winter and Hope. I would love to see this movie again and again. I really loved this movie a lot and I also love dolphins as well.

Um...it's decent and all but...the first film was better. Dolphin Tale 2 remains inspiring and harmless enough to appeal to families with Rufus the pelican serving as a perfectly serviceable comic relief but it lacks the more effective emotional impact of the first film. Talk about false advertising, Hope - also played by the real dolphin than a dolphin trained into an actor, like Winter, who reappears as herself in this true story sequel - constantly appears in advertising, yet she doesn't even appear until the last 10 minutes of film...or somewhere within that amount of time. And time goes by at a REALLY fast pace. It didn't exactly need to be made, even though when an inspiring true story happens, filmmakers will want to get their hands on the rights for a dramatized film adaptation. So, what do I think of Dolphin Tale 2? Decent acting, some inspiring drama and its friendly nature keep it afloat but DT2 can't be saved from a sense of false advertising and ultimately feeling forgettable. Stick with the first one.

Dolphin Tale 2 is a must see.I've watched it over a hundred times! It's a movie based on a true story that has a meaning to it,it makes you think what why are we polluting the ocean all we're doing is harming the beautiful animals that live in it same goes for the land animals to.What can we do to make a difference?Think about it.But overall no hard feelings but I thought Dolphin Tale 1 was the best but I still watch both thanks for reading!
