These guys did an amazing job with almost NO money! A seat of the pants what-is-going-on-here Sci Fi thriller with decent filming and pretty good acting. The premise was interesting, if a bit weak (more like a Twilight Zone episode), and it was explained by a book someone happened to have in the back of their car? And we need to mark our house? What happened to good ole goat's blood over the door? The Yahtzee Rube-Goldberg contraption was needlessly complicated - and let's be sure it is in a swipeable box on the patio so it can mark the house. You know, unless someone takes it. And put it in a lock box so it takes a while to get IN to the stuff... They should not give physics books to screenwriters.

I made it through an hour of watching and I just couldn't take another minute. Nearly the entire hour is filmed inside one house, primarily with a group of people sitting around a table, talking. No emotion, not much movement, no real excitement, nothing, blah, bland, boring. It's being touted on Amazon as being "Mind Bending", it should be "Mind Numbing". The entire premise as suggested in the dialogue is preposterous to say the least. I watch movies primarily to be entertained, and this failed miserably. This is one of those times I wish I had more than 2 thumbs, then I could give more than just 2 thumbs down, don't waste your time.

This indie film reminds me of the ambitious Primer, another film I wish to review agaib at some stage. The storyline is simple but the depth of character and mystery is amazing. The filmmaker hasn't done anything since which is a shame, the ambition and creativity keeps you guessing until the bitter conclusion. I was lucky to discover this film and now sing it high praise for originality. My only real issue with the film is the conclusion, which is a little underwhelming and offers an odd choice for such a creative film. I'm eager to see where the filmmaker heads next. 25-12-2017.
