This sequel doesn't quite live up to the fun natured first film but it does bring back the entire gang, through in some new characters, and manage a few chuckles at the same time.It's hard to say a story about a machine that creates food animals wasn't as good as it could have been... I mean it is a weird concept to begin with... but that is exactly the case here. While I felt the first film was genuine and cute, this sequel seems a bit forced and scattered at times.But thanks to some fun creature designs, *spoiler* an evil scientist, and a good (though somewhat conveluted) message, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 still manages to entertain and delight.

Puns.........When will they end?; Also am i the only one that finds the "Shrimpanzees" kind of creepy? Think about it, it's a creature made up of a bunch of other dead creatures, Hello? It's like Frankenstein! almost nothing is explained, the plot is forced, bland and overall not as straight forward and interesting as the first one, I'm pretty sure a little kid would find lots of enjoyment out of it, but any kid under 12 would be pretty tired of it after about 10 minutes, When i get kids i'm gonna show them more clever kids movies like Inside Out or Where The Wild Things Are as apposed to this; Piece of crap. ((yeah, there's just no other way to say it)) So that's all i have to say about it, I just don't like it. ((also BANANOSTRICHES? I'M SORRY, BUT THOSE ARE DOLPIHNANAS! YOU DUMB PIECE OF-))

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 won't cause any indigestion, but neither is it a feast for anything but the eyes. The story lacks originality but certainly not creativity as Flint and company embark on an adventure quite unlike anything moviegoers have ever seen, or even imagined, before. The jokes come quickly and seem to always hit, but that's abut it. The movie feels terribly superficial, dabbling in themes that are nothing but staples of the modern animation genre. Still, that's enough to call the movie a success, something the young ones in the audience will eat up while still suitably palatable for the adults accompanying them.
