Cesar Chavez the movie doesn't quite live up to the man but is still worth seeing. I think I actually would have liked the movie to be a bit longer to explore more facets of his life. It isn't that the movie isn't well crafter or well acted, it just feels a bit incomplete. Yet, I think it still proves to be an educational endeavor, and with the 2016 presidential election, and the immigration positions of Donald Trump (and others), the movie is timely examination of immigrant workers in our country.

I give it three stars because I am being generous. There isn't a lot of good in this film. Ok first of micheal Pena sucked. Everybody said he was good and yeah I don't like his emotionless Chavez with a broken family and the every so disobedient son. Pena was just try way to hard! And also the cameraman was high because if you watch the first 10 minutes all you see is extremely micheal jay fox shots. But the story was good cause it happened in my state. Kinda makes you wonder huh? And also this made me hate Nixon a bit.

Ok movie. While it paints a good picture of the incredible man, and seems pretty historically accurate, it does still feel at times like an over-glorification of Chavez, almost painting him as a Jesus-like being. But it does have a good performance from Peña and supporting from the rest of the cast.
