The story line was a bit different than the original but of course the ending was the same. I thought the visuals were beautiful & wildly vivid. I was happy to find out that there were no sing-a-longs in this version. I thought the whole a life for a rose was a bit far fetched but all in all it came together quite well. I actually prefer this version over the new Disney Beauty & The Beast. If only I spoke French so I wouldn't have to read the subtitles.

I believe that when a film is so grandiose with remarkable visuals, a lot of interpretation is to be had and that scares an average movie watcher. "The Fall" was another gorgeous movie with absolutely stunning imagery that fell flat with reviewers. While I have a few minor issues with this film, the visuals more than makes up for it as I was captivated throughout. As an artist, I know that color palettes, costume/set design, and cinematography may not interest most as much as an easy to follow narrative or classic design so I try to stay unbiased with reviews but this film deserves way more recognition for their achievements. Love how they handled the classic story and I don't think Disney will be able to top this.

Stunning visuals, a wonderful story filled with magic and intrigue. Although the connection between the two leads wasn't as well developed, individually? they were amazing. This version of Belle was a nice balance between strong and determined + caring and loving. One of my favorite live performance of Beauty and the Beast
