If I could give this move -5 stars, I would! This movie is horribly written with a choppy script, that literally makes NO SENSE. Who wrote this movie?! There were several parts of the movie that left you scratching your head like "huh? What does that mean"? We only continued to watch the movie hoping we'd get explanations and some closure. We never received it. It was like a young Tyler Perry drunkenly wrote a movie after reading the cliff notes for Enough, Sleeping with the Enemy, and What's Love Got to Do With It? I'm actually embarrassed that Taye Diggs had to stoop this low. I finished the movie thinking- "did anyone watch the final cut or did they quickly hit submit like this was their final paper due at the 11th hour their senior year of college"? You know, like "am I done yet"?
Til Death Do Us Part is no more a rip-off of Sleeping with the Enemy than Sleeping with the Enemy is a rip-off of any previous domestic violence movie. This is not a great movie, but it is a good movie with good acting. I felt for the female lead character and I really wanted her to escape her old life and find a new life with a new man. Yes, the movie is predictable, but if you like movies where an abused character kicks the sh*t out of their abuser, then, you will like Til Death Do Us Part.
A truly awful movie which takes the serious subject of domestic violence and turns it into a low budget, flimsy plot, wooden acting, straight to dvd, daytime soap opera bore-fest.The poor dialogue, the massive plot holes, the soundtrack which can't work out whether it's a gangster movie or love film reveal themselves within 15 minutes of the beginning.Don't believe some of the ratings on here, many of the 4 and 5 star reviews were submitted before the movie was even released.Don't waste your money on this garbage, go watch a documentary about domestic violence instead or donate your money to a women's shelter.
