I was a massive fan of the Turtles growing up in the 90s(who wasn't) and with that in mind I must say this version is an abomination. Even knowing that this was from the Michael Bay camp doesn't help because this ruins and spits over everything you grew up with. It's not even a "so bad it is good" film. Megan Fox, in the last throes of her career plays April O Neill and Will Artnett plays her creepy co-worker. The turtles look and feel larger and more menacing then their cartoon counterparts and even the effects and action is nothing special.(Avoid this Turtle soup).

had some awesome, and had some sucky. had some amazing action scenes, and had some childish parts. had some funny parts, and had some corny parts. pretty good overall but could have been better. splinter is sooooo ugly, but beasted his fighting. i'm not fully convinced of the turtles' look. but it was really cool to see them finally be beasts. this movie is majorly flawed with lots of things you can pick at and make fun of, but if you turn your brain off you will be entertained, especially if for some reason you still have a soft spot for the toitles

The best thing about the 2014 TMNT reboot is that Michael Bay's production team has its trademark lighting and special effects plastered all over everything that the film has to offer. Without this superior editing facet, the movie is just a poorly modernized live-action cartoon that upcasts itself with every beneficial TRANSFORMERS attribute that's replicable. The final product is an amusing (yet juvenile) Ninja Turtle adventure that manages to steer clear of its destined megaflop pigeonhole, by imposing dark costumes and excessive CGI astride a prosaic storyline.
