Bei diesem Film merkt man schon das Quentin Tarantino und Eli Roth involviert sind!Denn das Wunschprojekt von RZA, wo er auch selber noch Hauptdarsteller ist, ist gespickt mit dem gleichen Stil vom Tarantino.Eigentlich ein Kill Bill, nur mit einem männlichen Rächer besetzt.An und für sich ist die Geschichte nicht übel: Gute Gags, blutige Kämpfe (die natürlich wieder völlig übertrieben sind), Schnelle Schnitte und Hip Hop Musik. Leider verspricht der Film auch nichts Neues. Die Story bringt eigentlich auch nur das, dass was schon früher im Fernseher gekommen ist. Der Film ist mehr oder weniger nur gut, wegen den Schauspieler. Sonst hätte ich den Film gar nicht beachtet.Fazit: Gute Darsteller, die sich in einer sinnlosen Geschichte, gegeneinander die Köpfe einschlagen!

Look, I can appreciate genre revival flicks, but this movie is HORRIBLE. I watched it out of curiosity, with some sense of what I was getting into with Tarantino attached. Many of the shots, moments, and looks are familiar, but under the guidance of RZA they are butchered. And casting himself as the hero? NOT a good move. Some of his fellow cast members are almost as bad. You have to wonder what Russell Crowe was thinking of this production during filming. It must have been clear that this was a horrendous film. I almost felt sorry for him. How this film sits at 49% on Rottentomatoes is beyond me This movie misses the genre mark by a mile and has little other justification for its very existence. I hate myself for having watched it. Pass pass pass.
