The Morgan Brothers are in the business of making blood and bone fertilizer and business is slow. They enjoyed moderate success due to the fact that dead car crash victims made great fertilizer but since that has dried up it might be a chance for the meek Reg to show some initiative and try the real live flesh and blood. Three young upstarts are off to a festival until their car breaks down and Reg picks them up, but he falls for the lone female and his plans change, but older brother Lindsay has a bad temper and he will not deviate from his idiot brothers idea no matter what.Funny and gory in parts, not the best horror film but it's a decent watch.

Very, very black humour and very, very gory. So if you don't like seeing limbs severed or bodies vitamised then best you avoid this one. If you can stomach that, then you'll get to see a reasonably clever little low-budget comedy/horror flick played by some good actors delivering in absolutely spot on deadpan performances. What makes this movie stand out in the others in this genre is the depth of characterisations of the personalities of the protagonists and the way in which the events unfold in some surprising turns. It is most certainly not the greatest movie ever made(!) but if you like this genre then you'll have an entertaining 90 minutes.

As much as I wanted to like 100 Bloody Acres, it wasn't long until I discovered it was more comedy than horror. Reg/Lindsay ended up being the worst killers on the planet, thanks to a director who didn't seem to want to kill anyone off. The cast was fine, and Angus Sampson was brilliant, but like in the film, he was held back by a dull sidekick who cock blocked any type of excitement that was about to take place. Reg was the comedy relief, but after a long 90 minutes, we needed relief from him and the ugly characters he was protecting.
