A chance encounter of the unassuming bank receptionist Harleen Sahni with the charming yet mysterious Rajveer Nanda, results in an on-rush of ditched planes, car chases, shoot-outs, bombing raids and general global mayhem. Bang Bang at first had me laughing at the credits because it stated it is a remake of the movie with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz Knight & Day. I have to say it is a lot better than Knight & Day although there are certain aspects that were taken from the original the storyline is different and the stunts were taken to another level. THe music is great. The soundtrack has some great numbers. If you're a fan of Bollywood Cinema this is a movie you have to watch suitable for the whole family with some parental guidance. Bang Bang one of the hits of 2014 that I managed to get around to in 2015.
This was my first Bollywood film experience, and it definitely won't be my last. It lived up to all of the stereotypes, over the top, bombastic action, musical numbers that are so out of place they work, and on top of all of that, it was ridiculously fun. I can't wait to see another one.
The pull to watch this movie? Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif look hot together and the movie has great music. Those were my ONLY expectations. NO, this movie wasn't even able to match those expectations. After a gap of a year, I seem to have either forgotten how bad of an actress Katrina Kaif is OR she's managed to lose even more acting skills than before. But that's not the worst part - Hrithik, who's usually a great actor, seems to have taken a page out of Katrina's book and his acting is terrible too! Hrithik looks haggard, Katrina looks botoxed, the songs come at completely random moments and the storyline is as terrible as it gets. There must be at least ONE plus point? Yes, there is. ONE. The title song......which comes at the very end of the movie in the credits. Just watch the song on YouTube and skip the movie entirely.
