Awakening in an elevator, remembering nothing of his past, Thomas emerges into a world of about thirty teenage boys, all without past memories, who have learned to survive under their own set of rules in a completely enclosed environment, subsisting on their own agriculture and supplies. With a new boy arriving every thirty days, the group has been in "The Glade" for three years, trying to find a way to escape through the Maze that surrounds their living space (patrolled by cyborg monsters named 'Grievers'). They have begun to give up hope when a comatose girl arrives with a strange note, and their world begins to change with the boys dividing into two factions: those willing to risk their lives to escape and those wanting to hang onto what they've got and survive.

Maze runner is just what I am looking for in a movie. Thrill. Action. Adventure. Camaraderie. Lit monsters. The story of young people trapped in a maze and trying to get their way out and the twist in the end are just all about it~ One of best film series I've watched. Kudos to the whole casts and director who made it all happen.

The Maze Runner was very exhilarating, dark, and embraces you not knowing what's going to happen next. A group of boys much like Peter Pan but more in the teenage years are pulled together to survive the unknown. I could compare this movie to Lord of the Flies and Hunger Games. Knowing that the script was written based on a trilogy of books, we can definitely expect the sequels to be just as good. I didn't understand what had happened outside of the maze or why they were in the maze in the first place. It was definitely worth watching.

The Maze Runner really blew me away. I didn't read the books before seeing this movie but after seeing it i will be purchasing the set of books. Dylan O'Brien as the lead character Thomas was a great casting as he just has this charisma and likeability to him where every time he's on screen he just steals the show and makes you forget about all the problems with the film. The supporting characters had a big role in this film as Will POulter did a great job as Gally and had a great rivalry thoughout the movie with Thomas. The chemistry between Newt and Thomas was the strength of this film as you see that those two characters care for one another and will do anything for each other. A few problems with the film is that it didn't really spend a lot of time as to why they were all there or why they were there. They reflect a little bit on the history of it but i wanted to see more of the series before Thomas was put into the Glade and what transpired there. Overall solid film I will definitely see the second one when it comes out and hope for the best of that one.
