Mr. Peabody & Sherman isn’t perfect. Sometimes the full movie can get cringey and some of the scenes seem to be complete ass pulls. But Mr. Peabody & Sherman isn’t really terrible. At least i enjoyed the movie watching online. Heck, it’s not really bad at all. The animation is colorful, the voice acting is good and the humor is enjoyable. It helps this movie in terms of quality that the director was the same guy who was one of the directors of The Lion King, one of my favorite Disney movies ever. The plot is convoluted but, compared to the more simplistic time-travel movies in a post-Back to the Future era, it helps the movie stand out a bit more. It does teach a bit about history and I can’t fault the movie for encouraging kids to learn more about the French Revolution and the invasion of Troy. This movie won’t win any awards but in the end and that’s why you can free download this movie but still it’s a fun Dream-works movie.

The animation is nice, albeit pretty standard, and the story demonstrated real potential when it gave us some moments of wonder, excitement, and even a few where it showed some real heart, but for the most part, it just doesn't quite deliver. The convoluted story takes a little too long to get going and lacked emotional heft, not to mention that most of the supporting characters are far more entertaining than Mr. Peabody himself. It's certainly not terrible, but it's missing too many ingredients to make it great.

This is a sweet film and harkens back to the old school style of animation. It succeeds for this very reason- this is a fun film by Dreamworks which can be enjoyed by the entire family. The voice actors do a fine job and the fact that no one is a known face or voice only helps assist the movie. (Great animation movie for a family outing)
